Nick
Nick's musical career began with classical training in singing. Encouraged by his father, who played on the club scene, he started playing the drums aged 14. After several years of rehearsal rooms and minor gigs he 'hit' the busy N.E club scene, latterly returning to his love of singing.
He has founded and fronted some of the northeast's finest performing bands including 'Sticky Fingers', 'Nobody's Fool' and 'Axis' and continues to collaborate, write, perform and record with musicians in the Rock and Blues genre. Citing Paul Rodgers as one of his major influences, in 2003 Nick formed 'Heavy Load'.
Favourite Free track: Heartbreaker - one of too many to mention, this song is awesome!
Favourite Bad Co. track: Rocksteady - but again, how do you choose!
Likes: Great audiences, great gigs
Dislike: Bad vibes, feedback (the P.A. kind!)
Influences: What I would term 'decent classic rock' with a dollop of blues and Soul / Motown. That said I'll give anything a listen the once.
Favourite Artists: Great singers make a great song - Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Ronnie Dio (RIP), Ray Gillen (RIP) to name but a few.
