Well another year over.... we have had a great year with a wide variety of gigs and venues played. It has also been a year of change for the band.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in 2008 - from the venues' management and staff to the sound engineers (you know who you are) and most of all to the fans, new and old who have joined us at gigs throughout the year in the North East and beyond.See you in 2009

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who comes along to gigs on a number of levels. Not only are you supporting Heavy Load but you are supporting the pubs, clubs and venues that make the effort (and go through the licensing process!!) to keep the live music scene alive in the North East....
...and for those of you who take the time to speak to the band - you have no idea how great it is to hear that we are appreciated and capturing the sounds of yesteryear. I'd like to think that we have made a lot of friends over the years it's always a pleasure to meet new faces and catch up with faces we know well!!

Talking of catching up - we are regularly hearing about your memories of FREE and BAD COMPANY and great (sometimes mad) anecdotes of your experiences meeting them. We plan to provide a page where you can share your stories and build up a history of Free in the North East. It would be good to read about what other people remember and try and place yourself at the same gig!
