Nick           Lead Vocals

 

Nick was not always known as a singer - he was originally known for playing drums (from the age of 14) and worked in original bands as well as on the social  club scene .  Developing his longheld love of singing, Nick fronted three well known rock acts throughout the late eighties and nineties the bands being Sticky Fingers ,Nobody,s Fool and Axis. In 2003 Nick then put together Heavy Load ,thus creating one of the leading Free/Bad Co. tribute acts in the U.K.

Steve              Guitar

 Steve has been gigging for 30 yrs starting way back in 1978 in original band Chia Khan then two  more original bands to 1983 (The Reactors,Visions before Midnight).From 1983 to 1993 lots of "clurb" bands including China, Redd, Amazon, Pride, Easy Street and  Graduate  to name but a few.The last 15yrs Steve has played in many  bands including Kick like a Mule, One, Uncle Gilbert, Heavy Load, Mississippi Shieks . And now returned to Heavy Load Steve is adding his blues and rock tones to the sounds of Free and Bad Co.

Mark             Drums

Mark has been playing since he was 14.  His mam was a big influence on his music listening to the classic rock bands of the 60's and 70's (actually meeting Paul Rodgers).  His dad and brother are also drummers (his brother Richie was Heavy Load's original skinsman).  Mark is in his natural environment with the 70's rock vibe of Free/Bad Co as anyone who has seen the band live will testify.

Andy                Bass

 Andy started playing guitar at the age of 11 ,first on six string then moved onto bass.Over the years he,s played in many bands both cover and original all too numerous to mention.He,s gigged all over the place including a stint at the famous Marquee Club in London and even supported INXS on tour while playing in original band "Ra" in 1994. A great bass player Andy adds  his funk blues to the Heavy Load sound!
